Suddenly I got EWAAC 2017 AWARD!

My painting won at La Galleria Pall Mall, London, UK, first place in the category "Painting and Graphics"

The competition, which was organized by the society of Japanese art in London, was attended by artists from 47 countries. 36 artists came to the final exhibition in London on Pall Mall Street. Pall Mall Street is not big but beautiful street from Trafalgar Square almost to Parliament, next to Piccadilly, so that the prity much the hart of London.

The competition was called EWAAC 2017 London, and now I'm invited to an exhibition in Kyoto, Japan.

Моя картина выйграла в La Galleria Pall Mall, London, UK первое место в категории "Живопись и Графика"

В конкурсе, который организовывает общество японского искусства в Лондоне участвовали художники из 47 стран мира. На финальную выставку в Лондоне на улице Пелл Мелл приехало 36 художников. Улица Пелл Мелл идет от Трафальгарской пл. почти к Парламенту, рядом с Пикадели, так что центрее уже было некуда...

Конкурс назывался EWAAC 2017 London, теперь я приглашен на выставку в Киото, Япония.

Родился в Ленинграде, жил до 2001 в Ст.Петербурге, но переехал в канадский Торонто. Получил два технически дизайнерских образования в "холодильнике" и "мухе", записал 13 альбомов своей и чужой музыки с "Аукцыоном", "Мануфактурой" и др., был крещен Хвостом с Волохонской, прожил 3 месяца в Индийском ашраме, где научился хатха йоге и с тех пор приподает ее по миру, написал ряд "смешных" рассказов о жизни в роке, а теперь льет краску на холсты.
На его музыку сняты два клипа, его картины в лучших музеях мира, его снимают в фильмах про хатха йогу и плаванью на каноэ. Любит тишину и кошек. И чтобы "музыка была сьедобна".
Все так запутанно в его жизни!

Dmitri Matkovsky was born 1961 St. Petersburg, Russia.
Lives and works in Toronto, Canada and St.Petersburg, Russia.
Education: Academy of Refrigiration and Muchina Higher Industrial Art School in St. Petersburg:

After retiring early from a 25 year career in rock music he began as a acrylicist and was strongly influenced by Gerhard Richter, who was his first Teacher for the short period of time in 1991.

Since moving to Toronto, Dmitri has migrated from brush to pouring acrylics, working often with palette knives to achieve the unique depth and dimension that is his trademark. He has developed a special love for the space and silence, shuniya, which are the subject of many of his works. According to Dmitri, "Silence is the mother of music where colors are notes."

The artist has become a fixture in the north of Toronto, where he creates small air sketches and studies that later form the basis for the majestic space scenes in acrylic on large 50"x 50" canvases, for which he is best known.
In 2012 he returned to St.Petersubg, Russia.
